Wow! This locket is one amazing heavy and well made piece!! IT is mixed metal and it has four garnets in each corner which adds to the mysticism of this romantic vintage piece. The locket is hidden behind the green man’s head which is riveted to the top of the locket. There is ornate Etruscan metal work around the larger frame. This is not a small piece. Romantic & Mystical LONG dragon oviline jewel earrings

Legend has it that dragons are a symbol of beauty and power ( as are women) and these facing winged dragons or griffins are quite a fascinating example of that symbolism!Beautiful aren't they? SIGNED enamel jewel Cleopatra figural HUGE necklace boucher

This 22kt gold plate ( triple plated) jeweled Egyptian necklace has enamel that goes all the way up the neckchain and is well made with pave pearls and rhinestones that it will certainly cause jaws to drop and envy to rear its ugly head. That is when YOU wear it ha! The body of the bird is raised and if you look close you will see a lot of TINY seed pearls, rhinestones and coral color glass beads ( not orange as the photos appear) embedded into it. You hold this piece in your hands and you can feel the quality. And the reason it is such a great piece is because it is signed D'orlan which uses Marcel Boucher molds acquired from his wife after his death. They continued the wonderful work and minute detailing of his work and are still producing costume jewelry of high quality and workmanship today. This piece has the earmarks of the boucher pieces because in many of the older ones you saw a lot of pave stones and tiny beads to form the colors. The center piece of this magnificent necklace is a whopping 3 1/2 wide and is signed on the back ( as well as the tag that hangs from the necklace). Antique BLACK Snake MOURNING slide bracelet

Gypsy HUGE woman butterfly cherub deco necklace

Dripping in filigree, enamel, pearls, rhinestones, facteted glass and Chinese fish and VIctorian butterflies is just the start of this huge and amazing long necklace. The 4 cherubs at the top are the center piece that hold this huge bib drop. In the aesthetic period creatures and animals adorned jewelry and were in incorporated into so many unusual pieces that many times no two were alike. Vintage Cherub Mourning Drop Fancy necklace & RING

4 Victorian Cherubs protect this huge black pendant with tiny pearl colored glass and thick metal work in the shape of a fan. This also has a huge ring that I am adding to it and as you can see it looks like it was made to go with it.The necklace has some gorgeous links with fancy metal work and faceted cut glass beads. The length is 24" with an additional drop of 2". The etruscan metal work beads are rich in color and they bring together this wonderful vintage necklace in a most superb way. The clasp is a filigree box slide in clasp and the chain is fancy and etched ( see photos). The ring is one of the largest costume rings I have seen measuring in at 2" long ans almost as wide. IT has a large center glass stone with molded czech stones around with with a textured pattern.It will go up to a 9 and is thick pot metal that has gilt over it. Fully Hallmarked SIgned M Rieg renaissance hand wrought brooch

What a treasure this fully hallmarked Max Regi brooch is!! Max Reig was a Master silversmith at Colonial Williamsburg during the first half of the 20th Century. He was commissioned and made a pair of 18th century style chandeliers hanging in the St. Bede Catholic Church. He taught classes in metalwork in Virginia and had a jewelry store in the Post Office building in Williamsburg In October 1937, the first shops opened. Boone Forge of North Carolina ran a blacksmith shop at the Deane Forge. Kittinger Furniture of Richmond, Virginia, presented a cabinet shop at the Ascough House. Max Reig made and sold pewter and jewelry at the Margaret Hunter Shop during that period. This renaissance heavy gilt brooch is hand forged and has all the hallmarks as well as his signature. IT has a most unusual mythical creature on one side with a crown on its head ( I think it is a lion of some sort) and a unicorn on the other side. Between them is a key hole with a fleur de lis on the top and bottom. This is a hand crafted heavy well made brooch that is 2 ½“ tall and in excellent condition. Lovely whimsical piece that would be an asset to any collection!.

Vintage THICK mesh Gothic HEad snake bracelet

Watch out ladies this mythical rams head will wrap itself around your heart if you are not careful! HE is THAT adorable! Whiting and Davis made ones just like these and I have had them signed that are identical. This one is not signed but is a really good quality THICK ( almost 3/4" wide) scaled snake band with a horned rams head on each end. HE looks like he is spitting fire with this brilliant aurora borealis in his mouth.
The eyes are a deep red and they pierce right thru you . Vintage Victorian figural Mariner Acorn Bar pin

This unusual Victorian bar brooch has acorn ends that looks as if they should twist off ( like a nanny brooch where sewing thread and needle would be stored) but I don't think they do. The center piece is of a lighthouse and a sail boat which makes me think this must have been a sweetheart brooch. What an AMAZINGLY HUGE vintage Deco bracelet with a raised relief head and tiny bezel set turquoise that surround it! This is really wide ( 2 1/2") with hand wrought fancy gilt chains that are done similar to chain mail. During the late Victorian times and into the Deco period there was a Grand tour where people of high society would travel all over the world and bring back objects that represented those places and I believe this to be one of them. Large French Victorian oil Girl portrait Painting

This large lovely portrait was in a really old wooden frame that was crushed in a move so we saved her from it when we got unpacked. I have never tried to reframe her and want to find her a proper home. This has its original matting too. The matting size is 19 1/2" tall and the painting is 19" tall. ( see photo of the back with the matting next to it) I tried to show a photo of the light hitting it so you can see there there are layers of paint. I am not a specialist in paintings so please ask me any questions you might have and I will be glad to help. I don't think it is a water color because of the shine where some of the layeres of paint or so my guess would be oil. If there is another type of paint then I am not versed in what it could be. On the back it is written Moore and 441 one. NOt sure what that means. She looks very young and has long drop earrings as well as pearl sash brooch. Very pretty and elegant looking. The matting was on the portrait so long that it has lightened the part where it laid against the portrait. The colors are soft and subtle. Maybe she looks like an ancestor of yours? Well this parlor holds quite the SPECTACULAR LARGEST czech FLy brooch you will ever come across ( see photo next to a DIME) and this aesthetic Spider stickpin looks like it might have a ruin for its money. This brooch is no ordinary brooch because not only is it HUGE ( 3" WIDE( but it has some of the most exotic cobalts and bahama greens with hints of aurora borealis GLASS stones that you will find! Bohemian Amethyst Czech Glass flowing hair nymph Figural LONG earrings

These gorgeous pierced long earrings, with a beautiful Bohemian woman with a star in her hair have a 2 ct tear drop genuine faceted amethyst at the bottom set in a sterling tear drop bale. The length of these beauties is 4 1/2" (from top of wire to bottom of the Amethyst setting). The top czech fire polished bead is almost as large as a shooter marble and it has some of the most beautiful cobalts, magentas and golds in it! Its ornate filigree silver tone setting is fan like and extremely detailed! Two sparkles of fire polished aurora borealis rhinestones sparkle from the silver tone nymphs hair. Mucha, a well known art nouveau artist is known for these figures, with many depicting the moon and the stars. As you can see on our model they are very dramatic and with her red hair they really look like fire! Purchased in Paris years ago these have never been worn, only displayed in our store. Egyptian Jeweled SNAKE earrings necklace EXotic Chinese influence

Cleopatra watch out because this fabulous bib necklace with these huge chinese influence snake earrings are going to put you to shame! The earrings have these GORGEOUS stones that change colors from red to blue to green( all the colors of a flame). The heads of the snake have cloisonne metal work with glass beaded jewels of red and turquoise. This is a hinged earring so the tail actually moves back and forth. They measure a whopping 4 1/4" long and are clip on. They have a signature of some sort on the back that reads 156 e/i. The Necklace is to die for because it has hundreds of hand set links with exquisite designs. IT is not one of the light weight deco bib necklaces that are around, it is very heavy and layered. The clasp and the necklace that holds this huge stunning bib is hand twisted chain that forms one thick solid chain. Vintage Ophelia Nymph Art DEco large Sash pin

This beautiful sea nymph or mermaid raises up out of this large 3" sash pin and is quite the beauty!Quite possibly created after Shakespeare's Ophelia. THe famous painting which depicts Ophelia floating down the river into which she has cast herself, feeling rejected by Hamlet. Rare Vintage Risque Moulin Rouge style Reverse painted Necklace earrings

I have never seen a risqué reverse painted set like this which leads me to believe that is it was probably not reproduced in much quality. SO this is a rare treat to offer such an unusual daring set with different hand painted women doing the can-can (more correctly not hyphenated, as in the original French: cancan). Usually performed by a chorus line of female dancers who wear costumes with long skirts, petticoats, and black stockings, that hearkens back to the fashions of the 1890s, the main features of the dance was the lifting up and manipulation of the skirts, with high kicking and suggestive, provocative body movements.. Sometimes called the scandalous dance, it sometimes caused people dancing the cancan to be arrested . Many of these tantalizing women were known for their appearances at the Moulin Rouge. To see this glorified in vintage jewelry is such an exciting thing because when the Moulin Rouge brought forth the can-can, it caused the artists like French painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec to produce several paintings and a large number of posters of cancan dancers. Like miniature pieces of art ( since these are hand painted) you are able to wear a piece of history that jewelry became an important part of.. This huge ( 4” long) pendant hangs from hand faceted jet glass beads that measure 22” long. The pendant has pale blue glass rhinestones that bring out the colors in the delightful clothing on these women. Hanging from the large pendant is an enamel bow shaped adornment and a swinging chandelier drop. The earrings are 1 ¾” long and are clip on . Mucha, a well known art nouveau artist who was known for these figures, with many depicting the moon and the stars and exotic nymphs caused a wonderful trend in the design of nouveau jewelry. These have an iridescent Czech glass center that looks as if it has a light of its own. Rich cobalt’s and turquoise colors bring out the colors as if it is a flame. The mucha style woman appears to be holding it in her hands as if to show its power. The back is open so color reflects thru it in ways that are unbelievable. The pierced earrings are 3 1/4" long ( counting the wire). Rich antiqued patina has given it a deep golden bronze color. We bought these for display in our store and they have never been worn since that purchase years ago. Huge Glass enamel Figural Nouveau necklace

The sensuality of the female form was used in so many art nouveau jewelry pieces which we admire so much that when we saw this fabulous remake of that design we just had to have it. The sheer size of these faceted glass beads of golden yellow and jet black shows off this rhinestone and enamel huge solid pendant. Tiny faux pearls that shape this fan pendant are accented with rhinestones and black tear drop faceted glass stones. Larger faux pearl cabs complete the design. Add to that this extremely large golden faceted prism drop and you have one jaw dropping necklace! The largest glass bead on the neck chain is almost 1"and the center piece of this with the art nouveau style face pendant is a whopping 2 1/2" across and 4" long ( includes the faceted drop). The length of this necklace ( excluding the drop) is 22". This is in excellent condition and is quite amazing! This was purchased at an art show so I am not sure of its designer. Vintage Carousel Horse Fob Charm PEndant

For all carousel collectors, this is the most delightful fob and or pendant that I have seen with a carousel house on its pole.IT is a mixed metal measures 1 1/2" long. The brass ribonned pole has nice old patina which makes me think this is fairly old. Take a peek at the photos and see what I mean. The horse is dimensional and no matter which sire you look at, you see a real miniature of the horse and pole. All children have wonderful memories of these beautiful creatures that rode us thru our childhood. What a great way to memorialize them than by wearing them on your neck or a watch chain!
